The Britax First Class car seat is suitable from birth all the way up to 18kg, (approximately 4 years). The  Britax First Class Si car seat is a versatile combination car seat; it can be installed rear facing for your newborn, and forward facing from 9kg so it provides lasting safety and value for you and your baby.

The Si stands for side impact and it has this in the form of deep softly padded side wings giving your baby or toddler optimum side impact protection. The seat has an extended recline position when it is rearward facing, which together with the newborn insert, makes a more natural sleeping position. When front facing the Britax First Class Si car seat has 5 positions ensuring a comfortable and safe journey for your infant.

I am so pleased with the First Class SI car seat. I wanted a car seat that could be used from birth from 4 years as it seemed like a great way to save money, and Milly has been comfy in it right from her first trip home from hospital! The newborn insert kept her upright and she seems to be equally comfortable without when she got too big. The seat is large compared to the little car seats designed to be carried around, but is nicely padded, and easy to wipe clean. We have used it in a few different cars and once you've got the hang of it, it is easy and quick to fit, and light to carry. Milly seems to be in a good position, not hunched over, and she loves looking out of the window! A brilliant buy!
