A TENS machine is a small hand-held device that generates electrical impulses to help your body release endorphins - natural painkillers. TENS is a well-proven drug-free approach to pain suppression that has been successfully used world wide over many years by millions of women to counter the discomfort of labour.
MamaTENS is simple to use and has an integral "boost" facility for use during contractions. It also uses a unique escalating program of treatments to take you from the first niggles to birth, all clinically proven by midwives to be the best at countering labour pain.

Tenscare reserve the right to levy additional hire charges should a unit not be returned at the agreed time. Tenscare also reserve the right to charge for repair or replacement costs should a unit be returned damaged or broken beyond repair. MamaTENS rental units are for the exclusive use of the hirer.
Easy to use
- MamaTens is a digital unit so there are no knobs to turn, simply buttons to press
- Pre-set programmes - There are three pre-set programmes - one for each of the three stages of labour. You have no fiddly controls to adjust
Features
- Integral Booster Button - The unit has the Boost Button built in. It is designed to be comfortably hand held, allowing you and your partner to feel more in control
- Ramp Control - In the final stage, holding down the Boost button will gradually “ramp” the intensity beyond the usual maximum. At the end of a contraction, releasing the button rapidly returns the intensity to the previous set level
Handy Hint
- Before you order, work out when you will be 37 weeks pregnant and write it into the special notes box at checkout. Your Tens Machine will be dispatched to arrive 3 weeks before due date.
Hire Period
- The standard hire period is four weeks. However, if you notify Tenscare before the end of this period, the hire can be extended by two weeks, at no extra charge
